 Jessica Cappellini

Lecturer, Italian

403 McMahon Hall

Jessica Cappellini is a native Italian speaker from Como, Italy. She holds a BA in Modern Languages, Literature and Linguistics with an English and Russian specialization from the Catholic University in Milan (2006) and a MA in Teaching Italian as a Second Language from the University for Foreigners in Siena (2009). Her main interest is the use of technology in class and the creation of a diverse set of materials to help students to acquire critical skills as well as an understanding of Italian culture.
In the last five years she has taught elementary, intermediate and advanced classes for undergraduates in Italy and in the US. Also, she taught Italian to children and adults for a language school in Rome, and she is the co-founder of an independent translation agency. Luckily her life is not all work; she still enjoys a lot traveling, having a nice meal with friends, swimming, and watching movies and TV-series.
